I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Trent is Stevie's father's right hand man. Trent asks her to think about marrying him to make her ill father happy, ah...no. Stevie has always wanted him even though he spanked her with her dad's permission, but she doesn't realize that he has always loved her too. They settle in to a trial relationship and before long Stevie knows she loves Trent. They both know that when Trent spanks her, she feels safe and loved. This is a good read. Trent is seriously sexy in the your man really loves you way. DD and good love
Trent and Stevie always had an attraction to each other that neither was aware of at one time. He loves Stevie and hoped she could get past her hatred of him to recognize his feelings for her.
I thought she was a bit over the top with the hatred thing. I was also surprised that she never confronted her father. I really didn't expect her to submit to Trent quite so quickly.
At some point Stevie realized that Trent was providing her with the love and discipline she needed, and Trent realized that Stevie actually did love him.

I have a TBR list a mile long but, this book fascinated me. I took my time and it was mesmerizing to follow this D/s relationship play out. Excellent read.
This author has such a talent for writing hot romances with strong alpha males and women strong enough to submit. This book is exactly that. I would have happily continued reading, because whew! Read and enjoy!
The energy, heat, angst so we'll balanced. Not sweet and gentle, my favorite. Classic Carolyn Faulkner. You're going to re-read it.
The book was readable but the story moved slow. There was not any sexy scenes unless you want belted. It was cute in that he was in love and pursued her from the beginning no matter how many times she said no. It was a let down when it came to the sex.
